Chicken leg packs include the drumstick and thigh, with skin. Our chickens exercise on pasture daily, which develops leg muscle that is rich in flavor and high in nutrition. Dark meat contains more fat, which adds to the leg’s flavor and juiciness. Chicken legs are a versatile cut that absorbs marinade nicely and stays deliciously juicy when grilled or roasted, or becomes fall-apart tender when slow cooked.
All Smith Pastures poultry are pasture-raised, soy-free, non-gmo, free of antibiotics and no added hormones. The resulting product has an excellent flavor and texture and is more nutrient dense compared to non-pastured chicken.

Our pastured poultry are raised in the natural environment: on grass, with insects and sunshine, while protected in a large mobile pen that is moved daily to provide fresh pasture. No antibiotics, vaccines or restrictions are used because they’re not needed as would be required inside a commercial production operation. There is no soy in the non-GMO supplemental food to avoid high estrogen levels in the meat. The resulting product is more nutrient dense compared to non-pastured chicken, specifically in terms of higher levels of omega 3 fatty acids and vitamins, A and E.
